Erweiterungs- und Nachbarschaftspolitik der EU

Abstract

Nach Abschluss der fünften Erweiterung von 2004 und 2007 beabsichtigt die EU in naher Zukunft die anderen Balkanländer und vielleicht die Türkei aufzunehmen. Eine EU der 40 Länder ist langfristig nicht ausgeschlossen. Als Alternative zu einer künftigen Erweiterungsstrategie verfolgt die EU eine Europäische Nachbarschafts- und Mittelmeerpolitik.
