Der Arbeitstagseffekt im vierteljährlichen Bruttoinlandsprodukt. Eine empirische Analyse anhand saisonaler Zeitreihenmodelle

Abstract

Im Jahr 2004 ergeben sich in Österreich aufgrund des Schaltjahres und der besonderen Lage von Feiertagen um drei Arbeitstage mehr als 2003. Eine Analyse mit einem saisonalen Zeitreihenmodell lässt auf eine dadurch ausgelöste Steigerung der Jahresproduktion (vierteljährliches BIP) im Ausmaß von 0,1% schließen. Der für das Bruttoinlandsprodukt als Ganzes und differenziert nach Wirtschaftsbereichen ermittelte Arbeitstagseffekt ist damit niedriger als entsprechende Schätzungen für Deutschland.
