Die Kosten des österreichischen Bildungssystems und der Wert der Ausbildung

Abstract

Österreichs Ausgaben für Bildung stiegen von 4,6% des BIP in den frühen siebziger Jahren auf 6,4% Ende der neunziger Jahre. Die Verlängerung der Ausbildung und der Wandel der Bildungsstruktur erhöhten dabei die Bildungsausgaben des Staates. Der finanzielle Ertrag der Verlängerung der Ausbildung über die Pflichtschule hinaus – gemessen am Einstiegslohn nach Bildungsabschluss – ist in Österreich im internationalen Vergleich relativ hoch. Er verringerte sich allerdings für Akademiker in den neunziger Jahren.
