Ökonomische Analyse der Wettbewerbssituation im österreichischen Lebensmitteleinzelhandel

Abstract

Mit der jüngsten Novelle zum Kartell- und Wettbewerbsgesetz wurde die wettbewerbspolitische Landschaft in Österreich einer grundlegenden Reform unterzogen. Neben einer institutionellen Reorganisation wird aber auch eine inhaltliche Neuorientierung der österreichischen Wettbewerbspolitik erforderlich sein. Die Grundzüge einer angesichts der "wettbewerbspolitischen Sünden" der Vergangenheit notwendigen verschärften Fusions- und Missbrauchskontrolle auf der Grundlage einer ökonomischen Wettbewerbsanalyse werden am Beispiel des Lebensmitteleinzelhandels skizziert.
