Les déterminants de la croissance des exportations de biens culturels au Togo

Abstract

Cet article analyse les déterminants des exportations des biens culturels togolais vers le reste du monde à partir d’un modèle de gravité sur la période 2002 à 2015. Le Togo a fortement accru ses exportations de biens culturels dans les années récentes, auprès notamment de pays en développement situés en Afrique, et en premier lieu dans le sec-teur du design. La taille des économies des pays partenaires, une langue commune, mais surtout le niveau d’éducation, la liberté d’expression et un environnement institutionnel favorable (qualité de la réglementation, contrôle de la corruption…) au Togo sont les prin-cipaux déterminants de la croissance des exportations des biens culturels.
