Proces wzrostu przedsiębiorstwa w świetle podejścia zasobowego i teorii kosztów transakcyjnych

Abstract

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie procesu wzrostu firmy jako wyłaniającego się obszaru badań nad przedsiębiorczością oraz wskazanie możliwości teoretycznego ujęcia tego procesu na podstawie integracji podejścia zasobowego (PZ) i teorii kosztów transakcyjnych (TKT). Współczesne badania nad ekspansją przedsiębiorstw w obszarze przedsiębiorczości koncentrują się na procesie wzrostu, sugerując metodę indukcyjną i eksploracyjną. Ten obszar badań należy jednak do szerszej problematyki granic przedsiębiorstwa, opartej na rozwiniętych teoriach, wśród których PZ i TKT są wiodącymi i często konfrontowanymi lub łączonymi perspektywami. Uzasadnione jest zatem przyjęcie metody dedukcji na podstawie istniejących teorii. Artykuł ma charakter koncepcyjny i wykorzystuje przegląd studiów teoretycznych dotyczących zakresu działania firmy na gruncie ekonomii, przedsiębiorczości i zarządzania strategicznego. Po analizie podejścia zasobowego i teorii kosztów transakcyjnych jako alternatywnych ujęć granic przedsiębiorstwa, w drodze systematycznego przeglądu literatury wyłoniono metody integracji obu teorii. Metody te wykorzystano przy sformułowaniu wniosków, dotyczących procesu wzrostu organizacji na podstawie integracji podejścia zasobowego i teorii kosztów transakcyjnych. Wskazano predykcyjną wartość PZ i TKT w odniesieniu do motywów, przesłanek, mechanizmów i form koordynacji ekspansji. Ponadto określono system wzajemnego oddziaływania zmiennych i założeń obu teorii w analizowanym procesie. Wnioski te mogą służyć dalszym analizom teoretycznym, ponadto mogą być poddane operacjonalizacji na potrzeby badań empirycznych.
