La rentabilidad del capital en España

Abstract

La tasa de ganancia es una variable fundamental en el análisis del capitalismo a partir de la teoría laboral del valor. En este artículo se presenta una medición empírica de la rentabilidad del capital en España para el periodo 1964-2000. Esta labor requiere abordar dos problemas teóricos: la medición empírica de los valorestrabajo y la transformación de la categorías estadísticas ortodoxas en categorías acordes a la teoría laboral del valor. Respecto al primer problema, se argumenta que los precios son medidas directas y únicas de los tiempos de trabajo. El segundo aspecto teórico consta de dos partes. En primer lugar, partiendo de la CNE se describen los pasos teóricos necesarios para la medición empírica de las principales variables de la distribución de la renta: el capital variable, la plusvalía y la tasa de plusvalía. En segundo lugar, partiendo de las estimaciones del stock de capital en España se realiza el análisis teórico para la construcción de la serie del capital invertido en la producción. A partir de estos datos, se presenta la evolución de la tasa de ganancia en España y se caracteriza brevemente la evolución de la economía española de las últimas décadas en función de la rentabilidad del capital.
