Retos y Oportunidades del Comportamiento Organizacional de los Millennials como Fuerza de Trabajo

Abstract

En esta investigación se indaga a los millennials como grupo generacional que se integra a la fuerza de trabajo. Además, se hace un análisis de la visión que tienen los dirigentes de las organizaciones al enfrentarse a este segmento como miembros con expectativas irrealmente altas, necesidad de elogios, que desacatan normas y con vestimenta casual, entre otras. Los millennials representan un importante capital creativo, dinámico y tecnológico crucialmente necesario en la organización de vanguardia. Se intenta identificar puntos de coincidencia entre lo que el millennial ofrece y lo que demanda la organización para el bien común. Para identificar la caracterización del comportamiento del joven millennial en el entorno laboral se hizo una revisión de la literatura actualizada, a través del análisis de artículos científicos, así como journals especializados en marketing y comportamiento organizacional de las bases de datos Emerald, Springer, Science Direct y ProQuest. Los resultados de esta investigación muestran que la rotación laboral en este segmento es cada vez mayor pues se ha identificado que los millennials manifiestan una necesidad de cambio así como una búsqueda permanente de empleo. En promedio permanecen máximo 3 años en un empleo si no satisface sus expectativas, además se destaca la importancia del equilibrio entre el trabajo y vida privada como elemento clave para su permanencia.
