Kiből lesz ma tanár?. A tanári pálya választásának empirikus elemzése

Abstract

Kiből lesz ma tanár Magyarországon? Különböznek-e a tanárképzésre jelentkezők, a tanári pályát választók képességei a más szakon továbbtanulók, a más pályát választók képességeitől? Mekkora szerepe van a tanári pálya választásában a tanárként, illetve a többi pályán elérhető kereseteknek? E kérdések megválaszolására végzett kutatás eredményei azt mutatják, hogy a tanárok kiválasztódási folyamatának minden egyes pontján - a pedagógusképzésre jelentkezéskor, a felsőfokú tanulmányok befejezését követő elhelyezkedéskor, majd a végzést követő 5., illetve 6. évben is - negatív önszelekciós hatás figyelhető meg. Azok jelentkeznek főiskolai szintű pedagógusképzésre, akiknek rosszabbak a képességei. A diplomát szerzettek közül nagyobb valószínűséggel a kevésbé jó képességűek helyezkednek el tanári pályán, és nagyobb valószínűséggel találjuk őket tanári állásban a végzést követő 5, illetve 6 évvel is. A tanulmány - a szelekciós torzítás hatásának figyelembevétele mellett - bemutatja, hogy a tanári pálya választásában meghatározó szerepe van a nem tanári és tanári állásban elérhető keresetek különbségének.
