Miért (nem) sikeresek a magyar középvállalatok?
[Why do (or do not) medium-sized Hungarian firms succeed?]

Abstract

A kis- és középvállalatok az 1990 után egymást követő kormányok gazdaságpolitikai programjainak kedvelt szereplői, ám többségükben a gazdasági átalakulás vesztesei voltak. A tanulmány azt vizsgálja, mi lehet a magyarázata annak, hogy sem az 1990es évek elején, sem a magyar gazdaság 1997-ben megindult és 2001-ig fennmaradt tartós növekedésének időszakában nem kezdődött meg a hazai tulajdonú vállalkozások tömeges fellendülése, sikeres integrációjuk a külföldi tulajdonú vállalatok által uralt gazdasági növekedési folyamatokba. A szerző a kérdésre a kis- és középvállalatok mérlegadataiból felépített adatbázis elemzésével keresi a választ. Bemutatja, hogy a kis- és középvállalatok csoportja jelentősen elmarad mind a termelési tényezőik hatékony kihasználása által lehetővé tehető maximális termelés, mind pedig az általuk elérhető maximális nyereség szintjétől.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: L25.
