Hol tart a hazai közoktatás?
[What is the state of public education in Hungary?]

Abstract

A magyar oktatási rendszer mind a nemzetközi, mind a hazai kompetenciamérések alapján romló tendenciát mutat. A tanulmány kísérletet tesz a lecsúszás okainak feltárására. Bemutatja a hazai oktatás teljesítményromlása több jellemzőjének (a PISA- és TIMSS-rangsorok, a kompetenciamérések néhány, főleg a polarizáltsággal kapcsolatos eredménye, valamint a korai lemorzsolódással fontosabb mutatók) alakulását és ezek gazdasági, társadalmi hatásait. Ezt követően az illiberális oktatáspolitika három meghatározó következményét - a finanszírozáscsökkentést, a központosítást és a pedagógusok bérezésének anomáliáit - veszi górcső alá. Az elemzés alapvetően oktatásgazdasági és politikai gazdasági szemléletű, végkövetkeztetése, hogy az illiberális oktatáspolitika az ország hosszú távú modernizációs perspektívájának elvesztéséhez vezet.
