Estructura ocupacional y bono demográfico en el Ecuador

Abstract

Entre los años 1990 y 2012 Ecua dor ha experimentado cambios demográficos y socio-económicos profundos, que han afectado al mercado laboral, es decir, a su Población en Edad de Trabajar (PET) y a su Población Económicamente Activa e Inactiva (PEA, PEI respectivamente). Por talmotivo, este documento investiga el efecto que las tendencias demográficas y las condiciones laborales han tenido sobre estos parámetros. Para estos fines, se utilizan datos de las Estadísticas Vitales desde el año 1990 hasta el año 2010; la Encuesta Nacional de Empleo, Desempleo y Subempleo (ENEMDU) en el mismo período; y los Censos de Población y Vivienda de 1990, 2001 y 2010. Se analiza de qué manera los cambios demográficos de los grupos en edad productiva afectan a la estructura ocupacional.
