Determinantes de la temporalidad en el mercado laboral ecuatoriano

Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza el papel que desempeñan las características individuales, familiares y laborales en la probabilidad de tener un contrato temporal frente a un contrato inde?nido. Se analiza concretamente la influencia del nivel de educación, las condiciones en las que se encuentra el trabajador y la región. Después, se realiza un análisis por rama de actividad, evidenciando cuáles son las características que posibilitarían la existencia del contrato temporal en cada una de ellas. Para lograr estos objetivos se estiman modelos de regresión logística utilizando los datos de la Encuesta de Empleo, Desempleo y Subempleo desde el II trimestre del año 2007 al II trimestre del año 2010, elaborada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INEC).
