Impact of emotional intelligence on employee task performance though the moderation of proactive behavior

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal the association between emotional intelligence (EI) and employee task performance and to check the partial or full moderation of proactive behavior. The study concludes that there exist a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and employee task performance. By developing Proactive behavior in leaders and employees organizational task performance can be enhanced in the workplace. The factors of emotional intelligence (Cognitive Ability, Interpersonal Skills) have impact on employee task performance and proactive behavior give strength in achieving effective performance.
