Strutturare il cambiamento organizzativo negli ospedali: l?esperienza dell?Ufficio Lean dell?AOU Senese

Abstract

Negli ultimi decenni, il lean ha guidato numerose iniziative di riorganizzazione dei processi produttivi nelle aziende sanitarie, contribuendo al miglioramento della qualit? dei servizi offerti attraverso una configurazione di percorsi e risorse centrata sul paziente. Il presente studio intende esplorare le condizioni organizzative che hanno permesso di sviluppare e strutturare un cambiamento lean all?interno dell?AOU Senese attraverso un approccio di tipo olistico e sistemico, condizione riconosciuta imprescindibile in letteratura per implementare efficacemente il lean in sanit?. Viene descritta la funzione svolta dall?Ufficio Lean e il relativo ruolo operativo nella sostenibilit? del miglioramento continuo nel lungo periodo. L?analisi del caso studio dimostra che la presenza costante e attiva di una struttura creata ad hoc all?interno dell?ospedale con funzioni specifiche sul programma di cambiamento (consulenza interna, project management, formazione) agevola il processo di interiorizzazione del lean. In particolare, l?Ufficio contribuisce al bilanciamento della dimensione bottom-up e di quella top-down del cambiamento facendo s? che tutti gli sforzi di miglioramento siano allineati e orientati verso la direzione identificata.
