La sostenibilit? turistica: dai modelli di analisi alla responsabilit? delle istituzioni

Abstract

Obiettivo del paper ? proporre riflessioni sulla necessit? di orientare l?azione di governo delle destinazioni turistiche e delle imprese turistiche verso la sostenibilit? ai fini del conseguimento del vantaggio competitivo. La sostenibilit?, intesa nelle tre dimensioni ambientaleeconomica- sociale, pu? rappresentare una vera risposta alla sfida ecologico-economica se le destinazioni turistiche e le imprese turistiche saranno capaci di valorizzare le risorse di attrattiva del territorio e di utilizzarle come innovativi fattori strategici di sviluppo turistico. Nonostante sia forte la necessit? delle organizzazioni turistiche di quantificare il livello di sostenibilit? raggiunta, ad oggi non si ? ancora pervenuti alla definizione di idonei indicatori in grado di misurare la sostenibilit? nelle sue tre distinte dimensioni di analisi. In contesti organizzativi sempre pi? complessi, il conseguimento dello sviluppo sostenibile dipende dalla capacit? dell?organo di governo di gestire in modo efficiente ed efficace le relazioni con i diversi portatori di interesse, ovvero tra il sistema di offerta turistica ed il turista, e di creare le condizioni per la creazione, la diffusione e la condivisione di nuova conoscenza all?interno delle organizzazioni e tra le organizzazioni e l?ambiente esterno. La realizzazione di progetti innovativi e potenzialmente sostenibili non pu? prescindere dallo sviluppo di adeguati processi di apprendimento dalle esperienze vissute quotidianamente nel corso della gestione aziendale. Altres?, il conseguimento dello sviluppo sostenibile rientra nelle responsabilit? delle Istituzioni che avranno il compito di sostenere la progettazione e la promozione dello sviluppo del turismo, sostenibile e di qualit?. Il paper, oltre ad arricchire la letteratura in materia di management e governance in ambito turistico, intende contribuire al rafforzamento della competitivit? delle destinazioni e delle imprese turistiche orientando i processi decisionali verso la sostenibilit?. L?assenza di case studies costituisce un limite al lavoro; pertanto, in una prospettiva di ricerca futura, si riterr? necessario analizzare alcune evidenze empiriche al fine di scoprire nuove ed opportune azioni di sviluppo delle destinazioni e delle imprese turistiche.
