Abstract

Recently Qin (1994) has combined the empirical likelihood ideas and the parametric likelihood method to construct confidence intervals for the difference of two population means in a semi-parametric model, in which one model is parametric and the other is nonparametric. In this paper, we construct confidence intervals for various differences of two populations in the semi-parametric model. The results are illustrated to be useful for several problems.
