Abstract

•This study examines the role of gender in the mining industry.•Analyzes 250 SCOPUS publications using a review research methodology.•Investigates how gender-sensitive mining policy impacts SDG 5 and 8.•Promotes gender diversity, dynamics, and social justice in mining policy formulation.
