Abstract

The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the realm of higher education presents novel possibilities, possessing significant capacity to transform pedagogical practices, learning paradigms, and research methodologies by addressing various challenges. This research offers a comprehensive examination of the scholarly terrain concerning the ramifications of AI on educational contexts over the previous decade. The factorial analysis elucidates a heterogeneous and dynamic environment in AI and education research, emphasizing both technological progressions and interdisciplinary synergy. The analysis accentuates the critical role of technological innovations, such as AI instruments, in redefining educational experiences, thereby indicating that this domain is experiencing rapid expansion, with scholars eager to investigate AI’s capacity to enhance educational outcomes. The study posits that forthcoming inquiries should persist in examining artificial intelligence within educational settings through both technical and interdisciplinary perspectives. Collaboration among computer scientists, policymakers, and educators is imperative for nurturing more holistic and scalable AI solutions.
