Influencia de la inteligencia emocional sobre las competencias laborales: un estudio empírico con empleados del nivel administrativo

Abstract

Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la influencia de la inteligencia emocional sobre el desarrollo de las competencias laborales, a través de la aplicación de una encuesta a 122 estudiantes de maestría con experiencia laboral superior a tres anos y que se encuentran desempenando cargos administrativos. La metodología utilizada es la regresión lineal estimando previamente un análisis factorial exploratorio para agrupar las aptitudes personales y sociales de la inteligencia emocional. En los resultados se comprueba que la inteligencia emocional representada en las aptitudes emocionales y sociales influye positivamente sobre las competencias laborales, encontrando que aspectos como el reconocimiento de emociones, el trabajo en equipo, la comunicación, la orientación al logro, la percepción y la negociación son características del individuo que favorecen la formación de competencias afectando el desempeno laboral.
