Strukturelle Veränderungen in der Landwirtschaft – Reaktion der landwirtschaftlichen Betriebsleiter sowie ableitbare Konsequenzen für den Landwirt als Unternehmer

Abstract

Der Strukturwandel in der Landwirtschaft und im Agribusiness setzt sich fort und führt dazu, dass u.a. die Anzahl der landwirtschaftlichen Betriebe deutlich zurückgeht und die bestehenden Betriebe immer größer werden. Bei der Anpassung an den Strukturwandel entscheiden insgesamt die Fähigkeiten der landwirtschaftlichen Unternehmer immer stärker über deren betrieblichen Erfolg. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird daher mittels einer empirischen Erhebung hinterfragt, wie die landwirtschaftlichen Betriebsleiter auf den Strukturwandel reagieren und inwieweit Unternehmerkompetenzen Einfluss auf die Führung eines modernen landwirtschaftlichen Betriebes haben. Es zeigt sich, dass Unternehmerkompetenzen wichtiger werden, da sich der Aufgabenbereich der Betriebsleiter durch die veränderten Rahmenbedingungen und das Wachstum der Betriebe von den ausführenden Tätigkeiten vermehrt hin zu leitenden Tätigkeiten verändert hat. Positiv festzustellen ist, dass sich unter den Betriebsleitern ein Bewusstsein für die hohe Relevanz der Unternehmerkompetenzen entwickelt hat.
