Aktuelle Verbraucherpreisentwicklung im Euroraum

Abstract

Das Statistische Amt der Europäischen Union veröffentlicht jeden Monat die Inflationsrate für das Euro-Währungsgebiet: Maßgeblich für die in den vergangenen Jahren zu beobachtende disinflationäre Entwicklung in der EWU waren eine negative Output-Lücke und ein Rückgang der Rohölnotierungen. Zudem ist der Preisdruck, der ehedem von administrierten Preisanhebungen in der EWU ausging, stark gesunken. Schließlich hat auch der Einfluss von indirekten Steuern auf das Verbraucherpreisniveau deutlich nachgelassen. Im Januar 2017 lag die Inflationsrate im Euroraum mit 1,8% erstmals wieder knapp unter der Zielmarke der EZB. Hierzu trugen primär die gestiegenen Rohölpreise und die Abwertung des Euro gegenüber dem US-Dollar bei. Zudem sind die Preise für Industriewaren (ohne Energie) und für verarbeitete Nahrungsmittel spürbar gestiegen, die Preise für unverarbeitete Lebensmittel sogar um 3,5%.
