Westdeutsche Industrie: Rege Investitionstätigkeit

Abstract

Nach den Ergebnissen der aktuellen Investitionserhebung planen die Industrieunternehmen in Westdeutschland 2007 ihre Investitionen gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 9% zu erhöhen. Für das letzte Jahr ergaben die Meldungen der Firmen einen Anstieg von 7%. Allerdings muss man diesen Investitionsanstieg vor dem Hintergrund der eher schwachen Investitionstätigkeit der letzten Jahre sehen. Die für das laufende Jahr zu erwartenden Investitionen liegen real noch unter dem Niveau von 2001. Während im letzten Jahr in erster Linie die kleineren Unternehmen kräftig investiert haben, sind für 2007 in allen Größenklassen deutliche Investitionssteigerungen geplant. Wie die aktuellen Erhebungsergebnisse zeigen, verfolgen die Unternehmen mit ihren Investitionen in Westdeutschland in erster Linie Erweiterungsabsichten, und zwar weniger mit dem Ziel, die Kapazität des bestehenden Produktionsprogramms zu erhöhen, als vielmehr die Produktpalette zu ändern bzw. zu verbreitern.
