Abstract

Price volatility and protectionism are main features of the world sugar market The assumptions, results and limits of two models of the world sugar market are analyzed. Taking into account the consequences of price volatility on agents decision making may radically change expected results of sugar trade liberalization, underlying the need to improve supply functions representation in models used during wro negotiations.
