Status-quo-Analyse ausgewählter Nachhaltigkeitsaspekte der Milcherzeugung in Niedersachsen

Abstract

Wie nachhaltig ist die Milcherzeugung in Niedersachsen und was bedeutet eigentlich "nachhaltig"? Welche Antworten haben niedersächsische Molkereien parat, wenn ihre Kunden in Verarbeitung und Handel wissen möchten, wie nachhaltig ihre Milchlieferanten wirtschaften? Welche Aspekte müssten berücksichtigt werden, um überhaupt Aussagen zur Nachhaltigkeit der Milcherzeugung treffen zu können? Und wie könnte eine erste Bestandsaufnahme erfolgen, die mit einem vertretbaren Aufwand für die beteiligten Akteure zu ersten Aussagen über Nachhaltigkeitsaspekte der Milcherzeugung in Niedersachsen führt? Diese Fragen standen am Anfang des von der Landesvereinigung der Milchwirtschaft Niedersachsen e.V. (LVN) initiierten Projekts "Nachhaltige Milcherzeugung in Niedersachsen", das seit Ende 2011 von der LVN gemeinsam mit dem Thünen-Institut für Betriebswirtschaft und der Agentur Land und Markt durchgeführt wird. Zentrales Anliegen der LVN und des Vorhabens war es, die Diskussion um Nachhaltigkeit in der Milchwirtschaft für Niedersachsen aufzugreifen, zu bündeln und mit Hilfe wissenschaftlicher Unterstützung einen ersten Ansatz zur Erhebung von Nachhaltigkeitsaspekten auf Ebene der landwirtschaftlichen Erzeugung zu erarbeiten. Zu diesem Zweck sollte ein als Basistool bezeichneter Fragebogen für milcherzeugende Betriebe entwickelt werden. [...]
