Urlaub in Corona-Zeiten: Perspektiven für den Tourismus in Deutschland

Abstract

Die Autoren zeigen, dass in den deutschen Bundesländern der Tourismus ein unterschiedliches Gewicht hat und entsprechend die wirtschaftliche Betroffenheit von den Reisebeschränkungen im Rahmen der Corona-Maßnahmen unterschiedlich groß ist. Lockerungen für den Tourismus haben in Urlaubsländern wie Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und Schleswig-Holstein eine höhere Priorität als in tourismusarmen Regionen. Am Beispiel Schleswig-Holsteins wird dargestellt, dass bei einem längeren "Lockdown" nicht mehr auszugleichende Verluste für die Tourismuswirtschaft drohen. Die Autoren geben eine ökonomische Begründung für regional unterschiedliche Exit-Regeln in der Corona-Krise, wobei gerade im Bereich des Tourismus regional variierende Lockerungsstrategien gerechtfertigt wären. Auch die niedrigen Infektionszahlen in den Urlaubsregionen Schleswig-Holsteins sprächen für eine Wiederaufnahme des Tourismus. Die Autoren empfehlen zielgerichtete Maßnahmen, die große Menschenansammlungen im öffentlichen Raum verhindern, ohne bestimmte Gruppen touristischer Dienstleister zu diskriminieren
