Lohnquote und Beschäftigung - die Lohnlücke

Abstract

Die Lohnlücke - die Abweichung des tatsächlichen vom vollbeschäftigungsgerechten Reallohn - wird auf der Grundlage der neoklassischen Produktionstheorie abgeleitet. Anschließend wird ein Konzept entwickelt, mit dem die Verknüpfung der Lohnlücke mit der Beschäftigungsentwicklung empirisch getestet werden kann. Dieser Ansatz wird sowohl im internationalen Querschnitt als auch im sektoralen Querschnitt für die Bundesrepublik regressionsanalytisch geprüft. Die Ergebnisse stützen die Vermutung, daß die gegenwärtig in der Bundesrepublik wie auch in anderen Ländern zu beobachtende Arbeitslosigkeit nicht zuletzt auf einem überhöhten Reallohnniveau beruht.
