Die Krise in Südeuropa oder die Angst vor dem Dominoeffekt: Griechenland, Portugal und Spanien im Krisentest

Abstract

Konkret wird in der nachfolgenden Analyse versucht, die tatsächliche wirtschaftliche Situation in den drei Ländern transparent zu machen und das wirtschaftliche Potenzial zur Krisenbewältigung einzuschätzen. Mit einem Vergleich der realwirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen soll geklärt werden, wie gerechtfertigt es ist, diese Länder in einen Topf zu werfen und Dominoeffekte zu unterstellen. In Abschnitt 2 werden die bisherigen Entwicklungslinien Griechenlands, Portugals und Spanien bis zum aktuellen Rand nachgezeichnet sowie Problemfelder identifiziert. In Abschnitt 3 werden ausführlich Ursachen und Ausmaß der außenwirtschaftlichen Schieflage der drei Länder analysiert und ihre internationale Wettbewerbsfähigkeit auf den Prüfstand gestellt. In Abschnitt 4 wird abschließend resümiert, wie ernst die Krise in den einzelnen Ländern einzuschätzen ist. Es wird diskutiert, welche wirtschaftspolitischen Reformen für eine Gesundung der drei Volkswirtschaften geeignet erscheinen.
