Zur Revision der Prognose infolge der Brexit-Entscheidung in Großbritannien

Abstract

Die wirtschaftlichen Aussichten für Großbritannien haben sich durch die Entscheidung im Referendum vom 23. Juni 2016 für einen Austritt des Landes aus der Europäischen Union (Brexit) spürbar eingetrübt. Längerfristig haben sich die Wachstumsaussichten vor allem dadurch verschlechtert, dass die Produktivität wohl schwächer steigen und das Arbeitskräftepotenzial langsamer zunehmen wird, als bislang zu erwarten war, wobei das Ausmaß freilich von der konkreten Ausgestaltung der Rahmenbedingungen nach der tatsächlichen Trennung von der Europäischen Union abhängen wird. Kurzfristig dämpft vor allem die gestiegene Unsicherheit die wirtschaftliche Aktivität. Die konjunkturellen Auswirkungen werden auch in anderen Ländern spürbar sein, bleiben aber insgesamt voraussichtlich moderat.
