Herausforderungen der Berufsausbildung in Kleinstbetrieben

Abstract

Die Entwicklungen am Ausbildungsmarkt zeigen seit längerem, dass nicht nur die Zahl der Auszubildenden in Kleinstbetrieben sinkt, sondern auch, dass immer weniger Kleinstbetriebe überhaupt Ausbildungsplätze anbieten. Gleichzeitig hat sich generell der Wettbewerb um Auszubildende verschärft, da das Interesse der Jugendlichen an der dualen Berufsausbildung abnimmt. Kleinstbetriebe sind mit vergleichsweise vielen unbesetzten Stellen hiervon besonders betroffen. Die vorliegende Studie analysiert die Ursachen für die sinkende Ausbildungs-beteiligung von Kleinstbetrieben und setzt sich mit den Herausforderungen auseinander mit denen speziell diese Betriebe konfrontiert sind. Unsere Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Ausbildungsplätze in Kleinstbetrieben vor allem deshalb unbesetzt bleiben, weil sie keine (geeigneten) Bewerber und Bewerberinnen finden. Können Kleinstbetriebe ihren Fachkräftebedarf (noch) aus dem externen Arbeitsmarkt decken und haben keinen Bedarf diese selbst auszubilden, ziehen sie sich durchaus aus der betrieblichen Ausbildung zurück.
