Marktchancen in Indien: Maritime Wirtschaft

Abstract

Die deutschen Exporte Richtung Indien (10,38 Mrd. EUR) haben derzeit einen Anteil von 0,95 % an den gesamten deutschen Ausfuhren. Als Absatzmarkt spielt das Land, auch aufgrund des geringen Pro-Kopf Einkommens, noch eine vergleichsweise geringe Rolle. Dennoch ergeben sich mittel- bis langfristig große Wachstumschancen, vor allem aufgrund der Marktgröße und der noch geringen Marktsättigung. 68,7 % der 1.190 Mio. Einwohner (2010) lebt von weniger als zwei US-Dollar pro Tag. Allerdings hat sich in den Jahren von 2004 bis 2009 mit einem jährlichen Wachstum des Bruttoinlandsprodukts von durchschnittlich 8,5 % eine konsumstarke Ober- und Mittelschicht gebildet, die, auch wenn sie derzeit nur einen geringen Anteil der Bevölkerung ausmacht, einen großen potenziellen Absatzmarkt vor allem für die Konsumgüterindustrie und die Energiewirtschaft bietet.
