Abstract

Die Beschäftigungswirkungen von Steuersenkungen und Änderungen der Steuerprogression werden in Modellen mit Lohnverhandlungen und Effizienzlöhnen untersucht. Es zeigt sich, daß die betrachteten Standardmodelle die positiven Effekte einer steileren Steuerprogression überzeichnen; Steuererhöhungen, die gleichzeitig die Progression verstärken, führen zu sinkenden Arbeitslosenzahlen.
