Wirtschaft, Politik und Freiheit: Das Freiburger Erbe

Abstract

Wer sich heutzutage mit dem Freiburger Erbe beschäftigt, hat einen besonderen Grund, darauf hinzuweisen, daß dieses Erbe mit den Erfahrungen zusammenhängt, die wir im vorigen Jahrhundert mit den totalitären Entwicklungen auf dem europäischen Kontinent gemacht haben. Die Freiburger Schule hat nämlich schon in den 30er Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts ein Erkenntnisprogramm in Angriff genommen, das unter anderem darauf abzielte, die Ursachen derartiger Entwicklungen zu eruieren und uns instand zu setzen, durch geeignete institutionelle Regelungen Tendenzen in dieser Richtung wirksam zu bekämpfen. Und die Ergebnisse dieser Forschungen sind für die Bundesrepublik von besonderer Bedeutung gewesen.
