Offerta di Lavoro Volontario. Una Evidenza Micro-Econometrica Italiana

Abstract

Il presente lavoro analizza le determinanti della attivita' gratuita per una associazione di volontariato, una associazione non di volontariato, un partito politico ed un sindacato, usando dati ufficiali dell'Indagine Multiscopo sulla Famiglia, Aspetti della vita quotidiana, dell'Istituto Nazionale di Statistica anno 1997. Il lavoro, in particolare, investiga se la decisione di fornire lavoro volontario e' una attivita' di consumo oppure una attivita' di investimento. L'evidenza empirica rivela che l'attivita' gratuita per una associazione di volontariato presenta caratteristiche sia di attivita' di consumo sia di attivita' di investimento. Il movente di consumo spinge gli individui a donare tempo ad una associazione non di volontariato, mentre il movente dell'investimento induce le persone ad offrire gratuitamente tempo ad un partito politico.
