Caste and Education: A Brief Review of Literature

Abstract

The interplay between caste and education has been always a topic of debate in India since a long time now. The inter-linkage is sometimes clearly visible and sometimes not due to the qualitative nature of caste. This paper summarizes various literature on caste and education.
