Abstract

Η παρούσα μελέτη εξετάζει τη σχέση μεταξύ της οικονομίας και του πολέμου και αποδεικνύει ότι η σχέση αυτή είναι πάντοτε διαχρονική και επίκαιρη.Στην παρούσα μελέτη εξετάζουμε έναν ακόμη παράγοντα, την οικονομία, που όπως θα καταδειχθεί στις ενότητες που ακολουθούν, αποτελεί πολύ ισχυρή προϋπόθεση, είτε για την στρατιωτική επικράτηση, είτε για την διασφάλιση της ειρήνης. Αυτό υποστηρίζεται από μια σημαντική και εκτενή βιβλιογραφία που αποκρυσταλλώνεται μέσα από την παραδοχή ότι χωρίς ισχυρή οικονομική βάση, τα κράτη δεν δύνανται να διατηρήσουν τις θέσεις τους στο διεθνές σύστημα ασφάλειας.
