Abstract

The purpose of this research is to encourage the implementation of greater measures against e-cigarette consumption in India, with a special focus on adolescents and school students. An independent study was carried out using a survey and results were synthesised using existing literature and theories. There is a massive gap of research surrounding this subject in India yet ‘vaping’ (the colloquial term for e-cigarette consumption) is an increasingly worsening problem with social dance clubs, schools and homes becoming hubs for teenagers to smoke e-cigarettes. The paper serves to provide information into the tendencies of adolescents and their potential reactions to certain measures. The goal is to provide useful insights for effective policy-making.
