Abstract

Working paper on human waste disposal in urban areas, esp. Low income areas in developing countries - examines sanitation problems in traditional culture, slums, squatter settlements and other areas of rapid population increase, discusses resulting health hazards, and emphasizes the need for adaptability in the choice of technology. Diagrams and references.
