Concerns facing human resource managers after COVID-19

Abstract

Purpose: The COVID-19 has forced unforeseen adjustments in corporate procedures, and human resources professionals are trying tirelessly to encourage staff members to adjust to the modern workplace environment. This study's aim is to examine the problems concerning human resources in the post-pandemic period. The paper highlights and describes several particular issues which the human resources function of every firm would experience in the pandemic's wake. Design/methodology/approach: The secondary sources used in this narrative literature review were gathered from a variety of places, such as the internet sites, scientific databases, magazines, and published papers. This article's conclusions are the outcome of a careful examination of relevant evidence. Findings: The research assessed several long-term human resource management matters in the pandemic contemporary reality, including issues with teleworking, personnel commitment, administration, increased resilience, preserving harmony between job and personal time, and boosting staff morale. Research limitations: The fact that this study is a comprehensive review of the literature with an educational goal raises the probability that the literature was chosen subjectively. Practical implications: The article's conclusions will indeed assist human resource professionals in developing several techniques for rethinking the workplace, increasing employee inspiration, assuring worker satisfaction, reinventing skills, and maintaining laborers in distant communities. Originality/value: By identifying the additional human resource issues in the post-COVID-19 current baseline, the research significantly adds to the body of current information.
