Abstract

Cette étude est une contribution au débat sur la RSE en Afrique et spécialement au Bénin. Elle répond à la question : quel est le sens que les entreprises au Bénin donnent à la responsabilité sociale ? Elle vise à déterminer la position des entreprises face à la responsabilité sociale des entreprises (RSE) au Bénin à travers l'analyse de leur management. Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous avons adopté une méthodologie qualitative inductive. Il ressort de cette étude que la plupart des entreprises ne connaissent pas la notion de la responsabilité sociale et sa démarche, mais leur gestion est marquée parfois par des signes très forts de sensibilité sociale. Elles sont toutes favorables à la prise en compte des responsabilités sociales et les considèrent non pas comme des coûts supplémentaires, mais comme des investissements à long terme ou comme un devoir. Manquent avant tout à ces engagements des lignes directrices, et l'engagement et l'incitation des pouvoirs publics.
