La Theorie Des Conventions : Une Approche Renouvelee Du Modele Comptable ?

Abstract

Cet article entend montrer comment la théorie des conventions constitue une nouvelle piste méthodologique capable de mieux appréhender la dimension sociale et consensuelle de la comptabilité. Nous tenterons alors de pénétrer le processus par lequel les conventions comptables, ensembles de repères collectifs sont amenées à passer d'un état à un autre. Dans un premier temps, sont décrits les facteurs qui contribuent à déstabiliser les conventions en place. Les réactions de celles-ci peuvent alors s'inscrire dans différents scénarios qui vont de la résistance jusqu'à l'effondrement, pouvant donner le jour à de nouvelles conventions. Le modèle proposé devrait ainsi fournir une nouvelle grille d'analyse permettant de poser un regard différent sur la construction et l'évolution des règles comptables. La dynamique conventionnaliste apparaît de ce point de vue, comme un mécanisme socialement construit, répondant à des influences et des courants profonds.
