Le langage permet-il de mesurer une contribution individuelle ? Le cas des référentiels de compétences

Abstract

Une science sociale s'est spécialisée dans l'analyse du langage : la linguistique. Nous allons dans ce papier mobiliser les concepts de base de la linguistique pour tenter de mieux comprendre les pièges spécifiques au langage qui expliquent les difficultés pratiques rencontrées dans la rédaction des référentiels. Pour cela, nous décrirons dans un premier temps, la conception du langage – le modèle du code – qui est implicitement présente dans la définition communément admise des référentiels (1.). Les théories linguistiques complémentaires à ce modèle du code – les théories inférentielles – permettent de proposer un mode d'analyse plus complet et plus réaliste des rôles du langage dans les référentiels de compétence (2.). Cet article propose aux acteurs de la gestion par les compétences une première explication sur les difficultés qu'ils rencontrent lors de la rédaction des référentiels. Des réflexions supplémentaires seront toutefois nécessaires pour proposer une méthodologie de rédaction des référentiels qui contourne ces difficultés et permette d'en améliorer la construction.
