Abstract

Globalisation applies to all sectors of social life, for the markets of goods and services, international financing, the labour market, the action of states and specialised international organisations. We are witnessing deregulation, disintermediation and specialization of the financial markets, but also the control of the economic policies of states through dedicated international economic organisations. The competition system is favoured. The dangers relating to the existence of derivative markets facilitating international speculation that is dangerous for economic equilibrium are underlined, as is the excessive importance of large multinational firms, with very extensive economic power, which do not favour the economic development of all countries.
