The design of an optimal area yield crop insurance contract

Abstract

Dans cet article, le schéma optimal d'assurance est examiné lorsque l'indemnité est basée sur le rendement agrégé sur récoltes d'un bassin de production. La coassurance en-dessous d'un rendement critique génère souvent un partage efficace du risque systématique. Lorsqu'il existe une relation linéaire entre les rendements individuel et agrégé, la forme optimale de la police d'assurance dépend du coefficient de régression individuel, qui mesure la sensibilité du rendement agrégé à des variations du rendement agrégé. La stratégie optimale de couverture à partir de contrats financiers dont le sous-jacent est un rendement agrégé consiste à acheter des options de vente ou d'achat selon que le coefficient de régression est positif ou négatif.
