Abstract

Since the end of the nineties, the large French food retailers (Carrefour, Auchan, Casino, Cora) have tried experiences in e-grocery. In each case, they have known some difficulties with their physical distribution (in particular for the home delivery). So, after a presentation of the French e-tailers, our paper examines the different logistical models running in e-commerce "B to C". It shows that a model dominates in France, with however some limits. Then, in the last part, our article develops logistical assets of convenience stores networks for large French multiple distributors.
