Abstract

The goal of the article is to present a case study in rail maintenance. This case study describes the consequences of an organizational change (the implementation of lean production) on health at work and absenteeism. This organizational change was followed by a surge of MSDS and absenteeism. Our case study underlines the essential role of work organisation in the increase of MSDS and absenteeism. Our results are discussed on the light of psychodynamic of work and clinical activity literatures.
