Intensification de l'agriculture et environnement

Abstract

Les effets de l'intensification agricole sur l'environnement ne peuvent être supprimés par un changement radical des systèmes de production. En l'état actuel, seuls des aménagements sont possibles. Les changements sont facilités par le fait qu'il y a des inefficacités dans les combinaisons productives. Ainsi les éleveurs hors-sol achètent plus que de besoin des engrais minéraux alors qu'ils ont des excès de lisier. Les céréaliculteurs pourraient en visant des rendements moins élevés, employer moins d'intrants et gagner au moins autant. A travers ces deux exemples on montre qu'il est possible de concilier une agriculture productive et moins polluante.
