Coopérer avec des partenaires localisés dans les PECO : Rupture ou continuité ?

Abstract

Cette contribution compare les accords de coopération conclus entre entreprises situées en Europe Occidentale et ceux noués avec des partenaires localisés dans les pays d'Europe centrale et orientale (PECO). L'enjeu est de mieux comprendre l'élargissement du périmètre géographique dans lequel sont situés les partenaires de coopération et d'apprécier les différences et similarités entre accords selon l'origine des organisations impliquées. L'étude empirique est fondée sur un échantillon de 2 204 coopérations scellées dans le secteur des Sciences du Vivant. Les résultats montrent que, si la distance psychique guide, dans tous les cas, le choix des partenaires, ses liens avec d'autres facteurs d'internationalisation ne sont pas clairement établis. Ils soulignent en outre que l'expérience pays ne joue pas un rôle central dans l'établissement de coopérations dans les PECO. Dans tous les cas, ils invitent à s'interroger sur la validité des modèles classiques d'analyse des opérations conclues à l'international.
