Algunos efectos del mercado único europeo sobre la economía espanola: Un análisis a través de un modelo de equilibrio general aplicado

Abstract

En este trabajo se examinan algunos efectos de la aplicación de las normas del Mercado /nico europeo sobre la economía espanola. La metodología se basa en simulaciones a partir de un modelo de equilibrio general aplicado especialmente disenado al efecto. El modelo tiene dos características particulares: por una parte, se incluyen aspectos de competencia imperfecta tales como rendimientos crecientes a escala y una regla de precios no competitiva; por otra parte, dado el tamano medio de la economía espanola, se utilizan funciones de demanda de exportaciones por sectores, en lugar del supuesto más habitual de país pequeno, precio-aceptante en los mercados internacionales. Se realizan cuatro tipos de simulaciones: eliminación de barreras arancelarias, disminución de los costes de transporte, armonización de barreras técnicas, y eliminación de los costes de transacción derivados de la adopción del euro.
