Estudio de las posibilidades de implantación de sistemas intermodales: el Caso Málaga

Abstract

Las empresas proveedoras de servicios de transporte pueden adoptar varias estrategias cuando coexisten con otros modos de transporte en la misma ruta. Así, dos modos competirán si deciden operar simultáneamente en la misma ruta de transporte, de manera que los usuarios puedan optar por viajar en cualquiera de los modos, o bien podrán optar por una estrategia de cooperación, entendida como aquella situación en la que las empresas acuerdan hacer uso de las sinergias que surgen al combinar convenientemente diferentes modos de transporte. En este caso extremo, los usuarios ya no podrían elegir entre modos, ya que ambos se han integrado en una única oferta de transporte.
